Fishing is available throughout the year.
Permits are required and can be purchased from reception at the Visitor Centre, either on the day or in advance.
Permits are £5 per rod, allowing for up to three rods each. Children up to 16 years can fish for free.

Permits are required to fish on the loch
These are available at the Willie Clarke Visitor Centre & Outdoor Education Centre for £5.
Permits are sold on a catch and release basis
All fish must be returned.
3 Rods per person maximum
A maximum of 3 rods per person may be fished or fully mounted at any one time.
Fish caught and permits are not transferable, and no person can look after other rods.
No Fishing In Restricted Areas
No fishing is allowed in the Nature Reserve, Pebble & Sand Beach and Outdoor Education Compound & Jetties.
Random checks
Randon checks of bags and tackle can be carried out by the bailiffs and park staff as per management rules to ensure fishery rules are being complied with.
Anglers are expected to cooperate with this process.
Persons breaking fishery rules
Any person not complying with fishery rules will be asked to leave and anyone engaged in any form of fishing without a day ticket will be considered to be poaching which is considered a crime of theft and the circumstances will be reported to the Police.
We will request prosecution on every occasion.
Purchase of a day ticket is deemed as acceptance by the angler of the fishery rules as stated above.
